Some of your items may require special preparation or handling prior to your move. Electronics, plastic outdoor toys, and laminate furniture are a few such items. You will find details in your packet that explain how to safely prepare your belongings to ensure that they arrive safely.

IMPORTANT!

Please Note: Unplug all electronic equipment such as televisions, computers, stereos, etc., 24 hours in advance of your move so they will be at room temperature on moving day. Moving a TV set and other electronic equipment in which heat is still retained could cause internal damage. Also wait 24 hours after unloading to plug in and turn on electronics.

We prohibit loading articles such as jewelry (costume or otherwise), currency, negotiable papers (stocks, bonds, certificates, notes), important papers (deeds, titles, bank books, tax & similar documents), collections (stamps, coins, baseball cards), propane tanks, ammunition, firewood, paints, household bleach, flammables, or frozen food.

Washer hoses and ice maker lines must be disconnected prior to move. Draining and refilling waterbeds, disassembly of grandfather clocks, assembly or disassembly of swing sets or jungle gyms, pool tables, and laminate furniture must be completed prior to move.

All large plastic outdoor toys (such as sand boxes, pools, kitchens, slides, teeter totters, etc.) must be cleaned, drained and dried prior to loading day. These toys hold water if they have been left outdoors and could cause water damage if they leak on other household goods.

Due to the fragile nature of laminate furniture, we will not accept responsibility for any damaged items made from this material unless the items are disassembled prior to your move. You will have the option of signing a waiver if you do not want to have the furniture disassembled.

Don't wax or oil wood furniture before moving, because some products may soften the wood, making it vulnerable to imprinting from furniture pads.

Drain fuel from your power mower and other machinery. Empty the water from your steam iron.
