Residential, Corporate and International
Client Resource Center
Whether you are moving across country or
across town there is information you will need to help guide
you thru your move.
••
We prohibit loading articles such as jewelry (costume or
otherwise), currency, negotiable papers (stocks, bonds,
certificates, notes) important papers (deeds, titles, bank
books & similar documents) collections (stamp, cards, coins
etc) propane tanks, ammunition/hand guns, firewood, paints,
household bleach, flammables, or frozen foods.
•
• Third party servicing will likely
be needed before moving items such as hot tubs, waterbeds,
clothes washers and dryers, refrigerators with water lines
for ice makers,
grandfather clocks, pool tables, plasma TV's and some
exercise equipment.
Talk to our knowledgeable staff about pre and post
move servicing.
•
• Washer hoses and ice maker lines
must be disconnected prior to the move. Draining and
refilling waterbeds, disassembly / assembly of grandfather
clocks, swing sets,
and pool tables must
be done prior to your move.
•
• Large plastic outdoor toys (such
as sand boxes, pools, kitchens, slides, teeter totters etc)
and outdoor storage
bins must be cleaned, drained, and dried prior to your move.
These items hold water when left outside and could cause
water damage if they leak on other household items.
••
Due to the fragile nature of laminate furniture, we
will not accept responsibility for
any damaged items made from this material
unless the items are disassembled prior to your
move. You will have the option of signing a waiver
if you do not want to have the furniture
disassembled.
•
• Don’t wax or oil wood
furniture before moving because some of the products
may soften the wood making it venerable to
imprinting from the furniture pads.
•
• Drain fuel from your power
mower, weed eater, saw and other machinery. Empty
the water from your steam iron.
•
• Unplug all electronic
equipment such as televisions, computers, stereos,
coffee pots, toaster ovens, etc 24 hours in advance
of your move so they will be at room temperature.
Moving electronic equipment in which heat is still
retained could cause internal damage. Also wait 24
hours after unloading to plug in and turn on all
electronics.
